Family friendly beach in the northeast??

We live near Buffalo, New York and we’re looking for a nice, family friendly beach to take our 2 year old son to on vacation this summer. We’re looking for some place less than 4 hours away (approximately). It would also be nice if the beach had other indoor activities nearby (i.e. indoor waterpark, aquarium, etc..) in case of rain. Does anyone have any ideas? We don’t mind if it is in NY, PA, OH, Canada… Thanks! Mark & Cheryl
